I started my technology learning career in 1984 programming "drill and kill" tests and tutorials on the mainframe. Since that time I have been involved in digital learning initiatives and discovered early the problems with proprietary content. When I first learned about the Advanced Distributed Learning Initiative and its Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) work, I knew that I wanted to become involved. Today I maintain a SCORM Watch Blog with SCORM related news and activities.
Today SCORM has become "a given" internationally in the e-Learning world. The following links are helpful in understanding SCORM and other standards.
